You will be using the properties of characterization in conjunction with other story elements to create a story. The story must include a vivid setting, well structured events, and delightfully engaging characters. You can choose from the following formats to create your story:
Graphic Novel/ Comic Book
Digital Storybook
Animoto (Animoto is a movie maker. If chosen, a script/hard copy of the story must be turned in)
Twine (Twine is an adventure game engine. If chosen, a script/hard copy of the story must be turned in)
Your quad must work cooperatively on the story. Pages can be broken down evenly between group member. For example, your quad is a four member group, and each member would create three pages creating a 12 page story. This sounds like a lot of work, but you need to remember that pictures are involved, and that may take up some space.
Each group member will receive a number in class which corresponds to the list below. That group member will research each option BEFORE starting on the story. Bring your research along with a story idea to class for discussion, then the group will vote on which method to create the story in, then cooperatively choose a topic to write about. Keyword: COOPERATIVELY. Should any disruptions or disagreements arise and the group cannot cooperatively come up with a story topic and/or a method, the teacher will choose for the quad.
